BERLIN — Mercedes-Benz owner Daimler will unveil a new company group comprising the AMG, Maybach and G-Class subbrands at the Munich automobile demonstrate in September.
The transfer will streamline marketing prices and is section of Daimler CEO Ola Kallenius’ approach to boost productivity and profitability, with a aim on large-margin sales.
AMG boss Philipp Schiemer is anticipated to lead the group.
AMG is Mercedes’ performance brand, Maybach is a rival to Rolls-Royce and Bentley, and the G-Class portfolio consists of luxurious off-street vehicles.
